We are looking to employ a Senior Financial Accountant for a permanent, hybrid role based at our office in Andoversford.
Agrii is a leading provider of agronomy services, technology and strategic advice, supporting farmers across the UK to farm productively and sustainably. Our Finance team plays a critical role in supporting the business, providing accurate financial information, ensuring compliance and delivering insights that help drive informed decision-making across the organisation.
We are now seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting into the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely group financial reporting, managing statutory accounting and compliance requirements, leading external audit activities and providing technical accounting support across the organisation.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely group consolidations and statutory accounts.
- Manage the accounting and reporting requirements of Agrii’s subsidiary entities.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activities and ensuring timely completion.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reporting for assigned areas.
- Oversee treasury, banking and working capital reporting activities.
- Manage VAT returns, employee tax requirements and support corporation tax reporting processes.
- Provide technical accounting guidance across the finance function, maintaining awareness of UK GAAP, IFRS and legislative developments.
- Support acquisition accounting, company secretarial activities and wider compliance requirements.
- Lead and develop team members, helping to prioritise workloads and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong financial accounting and reporting experience within a complex business environment.
- Experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing team members.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Pay: Up to £70,000.00 per year
