Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in meal and food preparation, support kitchen operations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant experience. Prior experience in catering, cooking, or food safety is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The Kitchen Team Member will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Help with serving food to customers or guests in a professional manner
- Support catering events by preparing and presenting food items as required
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
- Assist with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying management of stock levels
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and good hygiene practices
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and delivering excellent customer service
