Assistant Manager – Catwalk Club, Exeter
Pay: £13.50–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 16–38 hours per week (part-time or full-time)

We’re looking for a warm, confident and organised Assistant Manager who loves working with people and is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience. Whether you’re helping a customer find their dream prom dress, accepting deliveries, preparing stock or keeping the boutique running smoothly, you’ll play an important role in making every visit special.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and styling advice
- Work both Saturdays and Sundays from January to May (and throughout October), which are our busiest periods. Saturdays are required throughout the remainder of the year.
- Support the day-to-day running of the boutique
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Process sales and handle customer enquiries
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards
- Manage paperwork and administrative tasks
- Support stock organisation and inventory management
- Assist with social media content and marketing activities
- Ensure the boutique remains clean, welcoming and beautifully presented
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a warm, confident personality who genuinely enjoys working with people.
You’ll be someone who:
- Loves delivering exceptional customer service
- Has a positive, friendly and approachable personality
- Is highly organised and comfortable managing paperwork and administrative tasks
- Feels comfortable running the boutique during solo shifts
- Has strong attention to detail
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming and beautifully presented store
- Is comfortable using social media and understands how platforms such as Instagram and TikTok can help promote the business
- Enjoys being part of a team while also being confident working alone when required
- Is flexible and willing to help with a variety of tasks
Previous retail experience is preferred, and experience in social media, marketing or content creation would be a real advantage.
Basic sewing or alteration skills would be welcomed but are not essential.
Additional Information
This position can be either part-time or full-time, depending on the successful candidate. Expected hours are between 16 and 38 per week and can be discussed at interview.
