Alloy Wheel Repair Technician – Buckle Straightening & Welding

We are looking for a practical, mechanically minded person to join our alloy wheel repair team.
The role will focus mainly on straightening buckled alloy wheels and repairing cracked wheels.
You do not need to already be a fully qualified alloy wheel repair technician. We are happy to provide training on our equipment and repair processes to the right person.
However, we are looking for somebody who already has some hands-on workshop experience and is confident working with tools, machinery and metal.
Experience that would be useful
You may be suitable if you have experience with any of the following:
- Alloy wheel refurbishment or repair
- Welding
- Aluminium welding
- TIG welding
- Metal fabrication
- Grinding and metal preparation
- Using hand and power tools
- Mechanical repairs
- Bodyshop or accident repair work
- Engineering or manufacturing
- Tyre fitting or automotive workshop work
Anyone with previous alloy wheel refurbishment, buckle straightening or crack repair experience is strongly encouraged to apply.

- Can work efficiently as part of a busy workshop
- Understands that quality and safety come before rushing a repair
The role
Depending on your experience, your duties will include:
- Inspecting alloy wheels for buckles, cracks and other damage
- Straightening buckled alloy wheels using specialist equipment
- Preparing cracked areas for repair
- Grinding and preparing aluminium
- Welding cracked alloy wheels
- Dressing and finishing repaired areas
- Checking wheels after repair
- Working alongside the refurbishment and tyre teams
- Following our repair procedures and quality standards
Training will be provided on areas of the job you have not previously carried out.
We are particularly interested in people coming from welding, fabrication, engineering, mechanical, bodyshop or alloy wheel refurbishment backgrounds who want to develop into a specialist alloy wheel repair technician.
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
