Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Machine Driver to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will operate 360 excavators, to support one of our projects in Edinburgh for a Tier 1 Contractor delivering a road/ bridge upgrade scheme. Your knowledge and expertise in operating 360 excavators will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the scheme. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while honing your operational skills in a fast-paced environment. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help us achieve project goals seamlessly with opportunities to progress within the company operating 360 machines. Project Timeline 4 months.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators with precision and care, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or potential issues
- Load, unload, and transport materials efficiently
- Follow detailed operational instructions to complete tasks accurately and on schedule
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding machine status and project progress
- Ensure all machinery is properly secured after use and report any malfunctions immediately
- Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary
