Southgate Garage is seeking an experienced Senior Diagnostic Vehicle Technician / Master Technician to join our established and respected independent workshop. Full-time preferred, although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

Position Details
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (part-time considered)
- Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
- Lunch Break: 30 minutes unpaid
- Saturday Working: Approximately one Saturday morning per month (maximum 14 per year), 8:00am–1:00pm
- Location: Cross Inn, Llantrisant, Pontyclun, CF72 8AZ
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard
- Use modern diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues
- Complete work efficiently and accurately in line with manufacturer and industry standards
- Assist with general workshop duties as required
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience working as a vehicle technician within a professional garage environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Excellent knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
- Experience using diagnostic platforms such as Bosch, Autel, Snap-on or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Qualification
- Minimum 5 years' diagnostic technician experience in a professional garage environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Authorised to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable Qualifications
- MOT Tester qualification
- Hybrid and electric vehicle experience or qualifications
- Additional manufacturer or specialist training certificates
