Interested in working in a state-of-the-art Crematorium?
Here at West Lindsey District Council we pride ourselves on recruiting the very best people for our jobs. We also recognise how behaviours play a key role in the performance of our staff and organisation. If you have the drive to succeed and possess a ‘can do’ attitude, along with working in a previous similar service environment, this could be the job for you.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Trained or Trainee Crematorium Officer to join a small team running a state-of-the-art Crematorium. This post is offering you the opportunity to study alongside your role as Crematorium Officer. You must have the ability and motivation to gain the required qualifications within a set time scale in order to secure this post long term. If you have self -motivation and the ability to strive for success then this job could be for you.
As a Crematorium Officer you’ll help to ensure our bereaved customers have as positive an experience with us as is possible. You must be a good team player, flexible, adapt well to change and have significant attention to detail. This will all play a key part in the smooth running of the crematorium, whether that’s operating and maintaining the cremators, cleaning and preparing the chapel for a funeral, operating the music for a service, ensuring the grounds are spotless, sensitively facilitating the retention and disposal of remains, or carrying out minor repairs as needed.
Ideally, you’ll have some experience working within grounds service/maintenance in the bereavement services arena, with any supporting qualifications.
This post attracts a good benefits package along with membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
