Office Test are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Electrician looking to take the next step in their career into a Qualified Supervisor position.
This is an exciting opportunity for an electrician who has strong technical knowledge, takes pride in the quality of their work and is ready to develop their career into a more supervisory, compliance and technical-focused position.
You will work closely with our Electrical Team, developing your knowledge and experience in NICEIC compliance, electrical certification, auditing and technical support, with the opportunity to progress into a fully-fledged Qualified Supervisor role.
You don't necessarily need to have held a QS position previously — we're particularly interested in candidates who have the technical ability, attention to detail and ambition to develop into the role.
Duties
To provide technical support to our Engineering and Management Teams while developing the knowledge and experience required to take responsibility for aspects of our NICEIC accreditation and electrical compliance.
The successful candidate will initially work alongside our existing Qualified Supervisor/Management Team, gaining hands-on experience in auditing, certification, compliance and technical support before taking on increased responsibility as their experience develops.
- Provide technical advice and support to engineers and the Management Team on electrical matters.
- Assist with queries relating to NICEIC requirements across projects, planned maintenance and reactive works.
- Review and inspect electrical certification completed by engineers.
- Support engineers with technical queries relating to inspection, testing and certification.
- Keep up to date with changes to electrical regulations, legislation and industry standards.
- Assist with post-audits of engineers' electrical work.
- Monitor the quality and compliance of electrical certification.
- Attend client sites where required to assess electrical requirements.
- Liaise professionally with clients and provide technical support when required.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Commercial experience
Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
