About Us
We're a new café, bar and restaurant opening inside the restored First White Cloth Hall on Kirkgate.
The venue will bring together a daytime café, brunch offer, bar, restaurant and events space in one of Leeds’ most unique historic buildings. We are looking for bar staff to join our opening team and help deliver a warm, professional and high quality drinks service from day one.
The role
This is a customer facing bar role working across daytime, evening and event service. You will be preparing and serving drinks, supporting table service, keeping the bar clean and organised, and helping create a relaxed but polished customer experience.
We are looking for people who are friendly, reliable, confident with customers and able to stay calm during busy service.
Responsibilities
Preparing and serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks
Taking customer orders and payments
Keeping the bar clean, stocked and organised
Supporting table service where needed
Running drinks to customers
Following licensing, hygiene and health and safety procedures
Checking ID and supporting responsible alcohol service
Helping with opening, closing and daily cleaning tasks
Working closely with the bar manager, front of house and kitchen teams
Helping create a positive and professional team culture
What we are looking for
Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred
A friendly and confident manner with customers
Good communication skills
Reliability and good timekeeping
Ability to work well as part of a team
Calmness during busy service periods
Good attention to detail
Willingness to learn and get stuck in
Availability for evenings and weekends
Cocktail, wine, beer or coffee experience would be useful, but attitude and reliability are more important.
What we offer
£12.71 to £13.00 per hour
25 to 45 hours per week
