Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our skilled production team at our modern manufacturing facility.

The Role
As a CNC Machinist / Programmer, you will play an important part in the manufacture of our timber windows and doors. You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery, including our CNC router and CNC window production line.
Following initial training and familiarisation with our systems and processes, you will be expected to operate the machinery confidently and without direct supervision.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC router machinery
- Operating and monitoring the CNC window production line
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Ensuring components are produced accurately and to the required quality standards
- Maximising machine efficiency and production time
- Carrying out routine machine checks and supporting preventative maintenance
- Identifying and resolving minor programming or machining issues
- Working closely with colleagues across the production department
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Complying with all health and safety requirements, including PUWER regulations
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our production processes
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- At least two years’ experience operating and programming CNC router machinery
- Experience working with CNC production equipment
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to meet production deadlines
- The confidence to work independently and as part of a skilled team
- A good standard of written and spoken English
- Experience using CNC programming or manufacturing software
A background in joinery, timber manufacturing, window production or a similar industry would be an advantage, although it is not essential.
