Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team in our Yodel depot in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and packages in a timely manner to designated locations.
Duties:
- Safely drive company vans to deliver goods to customers
- Load and unload delivery items, ensuring they are secure during transportation
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on deliveries
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role
- Commercial driving experience is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Capable of heavy lifting when loading and unloading goods
- Valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Familiarity with local roads and routes
