We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality control
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and guest needs
- Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Ensure all food safety procedures are adhered to at all times during food preparation and service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Skilled in food production, presentation, and culinary techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Experience in restaurant operations, serving, and customer service is advantageous
