Set within seven acres of beautiful grounds near Dalston, Rose Castle is one of Cumbria’s most distinctive historic venues. Today, the Castle welcomes guests from across the UK and around the world for weddings, retreats, celebrations, residential stays and special events.
As we head into a busy winter and festive season, we’re looking for enthusiastic and personable Casual Food & Beverage Team Members to join us.
With Christmas parties, festive events, weddings, private celebrations, dinners and residential stays taking place throughout the coming months, no two shifts at the Castle are quite the same.
You’ll be part of the team welcoming our guests and helping us deliver the warm, personal and professional experience that makes a visit to Rose Castle special.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming and looking after guests throughout their visit
- Serving food and drinks at weddings, Christmas parties and events
- Working behind the bar and serving beverages
- Assisting with event setup and room preparations
- Supporting festive dinners, celebrations and residential events
- Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the Castle
- Working alongside the wider team to make sure every event runs smoothly
What We're Looking For
- A warm, friendly and professional approach
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Reliability and flexibility, particularly for evenings and weekends
- Availability to support us during the busy festive period
- A willingness to learn and be part of the team
- Previous hospitality experience is helpful, but not essential
