Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver goods to various locations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Report any vehicle faults or accidents promptly to management.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, ideally with delivery driver experience.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicles to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, such as a <PERSON> driver licence or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles and understanding of safety protocols.
