Role: FURNITURE & FLOOR COVERINGS SYSTEMS CO-ORDINATOR

We have a vacancy for a Systems Co-ordinator who will be based in our Furniture and Floor coverings business areas.
SATRA’s Furniture & Floorcoverings business areas are an international centre of excellence for testing, training, consultancy and innovation. Our expertise makes SATRA the premier technical partner for suppliers, manufacturers and retailers of furniture, flooring and their components.
We test against national, European and international standards, as well as key retailer specifications, to give our customers the confidence that their furniture and flooring is fit for purpose and safe to use. Working to a UKAS accredited ISO 17025 quality management system (QMS) in accordance with SATRA’s health and safety requirements is essential. There is currently a vacancy for a Systems Co-ordinator to assist with maintaining and developing the QMS and health and safety systems in our Furniture and Floor coverings business areas
Responsibilities
As a Systems Co-ordinator, after receiving appropriate training, you will be required to carry out the following:
· Maintaining and improving record keeping of quality related documentation (i.e. calibration certificates, equipment maintenance records, certificates of conformity, standard reference materials, gap analysis, software validations, spreadsheet validations)
· Performing calibrations, drift analysis, risk assessments, witnessed assessments and uncertainty of measurement budgets to agreed deadlines
· Managing check testing and trial participation
· Supporting the Furniture and Floor coverings Business Area Managers with the annual UKAS audit; organising the auditors and taking the lead to organise improvement action evidence
· Co-ordinating ISO 17025 accreditation schedule extensions to scope where applicable
· Assisting with the creation of standard operating procedures
· Working with Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, Head of Furniture and Head of Floorcoverings to ensure H&S matters are in compliance with legal and company requirements
· Maintaining personal training and competency records
· Purchasing and verifying standard materials
· Completion of COSHH records where applicable
About You
Successful candidates will be required to have the following:
Essential
· A-levels or equivalent in Mathematics
· Experience in a Quality
· High accuracy and excellent attention to detail
· Highly motivated, reliable, flexible approach to working responding to changing deadlines and priorities
· Able to accurately follow instructions and procedures
· Able to work independently in an organised manner
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Effective time management
· Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
· Good teamworking skills
· An understanding of the importance of working to a quality system
· Problem solving skills
Desirable
· Experience in implementing and maintaining quality control/quality management systems such as ISO 17025 or ISO 9001
· Knowledge or understanding of Health & Safety procedures
· Able to learn new skills quickly

· Further education qualifications
