About the role:
We are now recruiting for a loyal, motivated full time Carer Driver who will love being surrounded by dogs, caring for their safe and healthy transportation to and from day care and provide our customers with outstanding service.
The route will be around Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone area and entail transporting the dogs to and from our day care centre in Doddinghurst.
So you would preferably be from this area.
This is a customer facing role so you must be well presented, well spoken with good English and outstanding communication skills.
Please note that a DBS is required and you must have a full clean UK licence as our company vehicles are manual.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely transporting dogs to and from Daycare in our Pawtopia Dog Bus and caring for them at our day care centre.
- Excellent customer service skills when talking to our customers at pick up and drop off, as many Drivers are the face of Pawtopia for lots of our customers
- Demonstrate our Values at all times; Caring, Reliable, Positive and Passionate
- Safely loading and unloading dogs into and out of the dog bus
- Maintaining a clean, comfortable and hygienic dog bus (including cleaning the dogs down when it's muddy!)
- Ensure the safety of all dogs is never compromised whilst they remain in our care (leads, gates, speeding, cornering).
- Upon arrival at the day care centre support the other day care assistants to deliver all enrichment routines (including photos), contributing suggestions to improve dog behaviour.
- Following customers instructions for pick up and drop off, e.g. lunches, where to leave the dog if the owner is not in, securing property.
- Bathing, washing and towelling dogs prior to drop off.
- Check each dog’s notes before dropping off for any updates to give to customers
- Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and legally compliant
- You will be the face of Pawtopia for our dog bus customers, so you will have the confidence and service ability to deal with customer queries as well as explaining dog behaviour concerns at the doorstep.

Job Type: PART-time (8am to 6pm Tuesday to Thursday) but with the possibility of going full time.
Salary: £18,000 per year
