Are you an experienced HLTA, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher looking for a new challenge within a specialist SEMH setting?
A specialist school in Woodbridge is seeking an experienced education professional to support pupils aged 11–17 with social, emotional and mental health needs. Pupils may also have additional needs including autism, ADHD and communication difficulties .
- Support and lead learning across KS3 and KS4.
- Take responsibility for lessons when required in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation.
- Contribute to pupil progress, EHCP targets and assessment.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider support team.
- At least 2 years' HLTA experience , or suitable experience as an Unqualified Teacher or Cover Supervisor .
- Experience working with SEMH and/or SEND pupils .
- Confident leading lessons and managing behaviour.
- Calm, consistent and resilient.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
