Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable 360 Excavator Operator with proven deep drainage experience to join our construction and civil engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently on deep drainage and groundwork projects, ensuring all excavation work is completed to specification and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 360 excavator safely and competently on construction sites.
- Carry out deep drainage excavations, including trenches, manholes, and pipe installations.
- Excavate to line and level using site drawings and laser equipment.
- Work around live services and underground utilities safely.
- Assist with laying drainage pipes, backfilling, and reinstatement works.
- Conduct daily machine checks and basic maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with site health & safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, groundworkers, and other operatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS card for 360 Excavator Operation.
- Proven experience in deep drainage and groundwork projects.
- Ability to read and understand site drawings and levels.
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations on construction sites.
- Experience working in confined trench environments and around utilities.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Dumper/Roller tickets advantageous.
