Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will support the culinary team in meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support chefs with cooking tasks, including basic food handling and ingredient organisation
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations
- Help with the organisation of ingredients, supplies, and stock levels to ensure efficient workflow
- Serve meals to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to uphold a safe working environment
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with set-up and clean-up routines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a catering, restaurant, or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is desirable
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
