Job Role – Yard Operative
The main duties if working on the yard
- Processing/dismantling components such as copper, cable, copper tanks
- Serving customers
- Been Self-motivated
- Help unloading van drivers vans
- Loading van drivers up
- Keep the yard tidy and safe
- Good knowledge of ferrous and non ferrous metals
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Punctual
- Good math skills
- Be able to work flexible hours and weekends
- Be physically fit as it’s a physical job
- Be able to use basic hand tools to process metals
- Have a fork lift licence.
Van Driver Duties when needed
- Collecting non ferrous and ferrous metals from customers homes and sites
- Weighing and grading metals on site and writing out tickets and adding up
- Have a clean licence (3points is ok)
- Be flexible and willing to go on a call rota which covers evenings and weekends
- Have access to a smart phone
- Be 25years old or older for insurance reasons
The working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm and will be on a rota system for evenings and weekends which is paid as over time
Basic Salary is £27,000 with no cap and will be re assessed yearly on productivity.
The company offers a pension scheme and holiday pay.
