Fastline Steel Services UK Ltd is the UK's number 1 manufacturer and supplier of steel fencing and perimeter security systems.
We are looking to recruit a Technical Estimator to support our commercial and operational teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant industry experience or a technically minded candidate who is keen to develop within the steel fencing and manufacturing sector.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing customer enquiries, drawings and specifications.
- Preparing accurate quotations and material take-offs.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
- Calculating material, manufacturing and associated costs.
- Maintaining accurate quotation and customer information.
- Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to order stage.
Experience within steel fencing, fabrication, mesh fencing, construction products or a similar manufacturing environment would be preferred. Previous experience using ERP, MRP or CRM systems would be useful but is not essential, as training will be provided.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Good general IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to interpret drawings and technical information.
- A practical, commercially aware approach.
- A willingness to learn and take ownership of their work.
