Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and a deep understanding of culinary techniques. The Sous Chef will also be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and maintaining a positive working environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety standards and procedures.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and stock control.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to specification and presented beautifully.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
- Monitor food production processes to ensure quality control.
