About Us
MR FLOORS | MR CARPETS is one of the North West’s leading independent flooring retailers, specialising in carpets, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), laminate, engineered wood, SPC flooring, stair runners, and bespoke flooring solutions. With continued growth across our branches, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Advisor to join our team.
The Role
We are seeking a confident, customer focused Sales Advisor with a proven track record in retail sales. Flooring industry experience is highly preferred, although applicants with strong sales backgrounds from related industries will also be considered.
You will be responsible for helping customers choose the right flooring for their homes and businesses, providing expert advice, preparing quotations, and converting enquiries into sales while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in our showroom.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable flooring solutions.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge across carpets, laminate, LVT, SPC, engineered wood, and accessories.
- Prepare quotations and follow up leads to maximise sales opportunities.
- Upsell underlays, fitting services, stair rods, door bars, and other related products.
- Arrange home measuring appointments and coordinate with the fitting team.
- Maintain showroom displays to a high standard.
- Process sales orders accurately through our EPOS system.
- Build long term relationships with customers and generate repeat business.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets.
Essential Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Confidence in closing sales and achieving targets.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work weekends as part of a rota.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Preferred Requirements
- Previous flooring industry experience.
- Knowledge of carpets, laminate flooring, LVT, SPC, and engineered wood flooring.
- Experience conducting flooring quotations and measurements.
- Experience using retail EPOS systems.
