Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fryer to join The Chippery Earls Barton fish and chip shop team.
Location:The Chippery 38 The Square, Earls Barton, Northampton, NN6 0NA.
The ideal candidate will possess a good background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on food prep, frying, cooking techniques and strong customer service.
This role involves preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering exceptional customer experience by maintaining consistency, efficiency, and cleanliness in the kitchen. Previous restaurant/fast food experience are highly valued for this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cooking menu items to established high standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the fryer station and surrounding areas
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Assist with meal preparation tasks as required, supporting overall kitchen operations
- Monitor oil quality and manage fryer maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including safe handling of hot oil and equipment
- Serving customers and handling payments
- Following allergen procedures and safety guidelines
Experience
- Proven experience as a fryer or cook within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures
- Experience in meal preparation and food safety compliance is essential
- Familiarity with serving customers and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
The Chippery is a busy, family run Fish and Chips shop known for quality fresh food and fast, friendly service. We are looking for an experienced fryer who can work confidently during peak periods and maintain high standards in a fast paced environment.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
