We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, in Bestwood village area. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in nursing or assisted living, and experience in managing care plans and medication administration. This role offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team committed to providing exceptional care to residents. The Home Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a warm, safe environment for all residents.
Duties include (this list is not exhaustive):
· Oversee the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery
· Lead, supervise, and motivate staff members, including carers and nursing personnel, fostering a positive team environment
· Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care
· Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and legal standards
· Manage medication administration processes accurately and safely in accordance with prescribed protocols
· Monitor residents’ wellbeing closely, responding promptly to any changes in health or behaviour
· Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services
· Organise staff training programmes to maintain high standards of professional development and compliance with industry regulations
· Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff rotas, and operational procedures
· Promote a caring environment that respects residents’ dignity, independence, and individual preferences
Requirements
· Nursing or equivalent qualification, with current pin number
· Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes; previous management or supervisory experience is essential
· Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, medication administration, and care planning processes
· Background in nursing or related healthcare qualifications
· Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment
· Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing care plans and regulatory compliance
· Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to providing exceptional resident-centred care
· Ability to handle challenging situations professionally whilst maintaining high standards of safety and quality assurance
