Roles and Responsibilities
As an LGV/LCV Driver, you’ll be at the heart of our pharmaceutical supply chain operations, ensuring timely and compliant deliveries while representing Mawdsleys professionally. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safely transporting pharmaceutical products to a variety of clients, maintaining full compliance with MHRA and DVSA regulations.
- Ensuring all deliveries are made on time and in full wherever practicable.
- Monitoring and maintaining vehicle temperature controls to support GDP compliance.
- Representing the business professionally in all customer and colleague interactions.
- Communicating effectively with other drivers, management, and customers.
- Adhering to all standard operating procedures (SOPs), operator licence conditions, and internal transport protocols.
- Supporting transport operations during high-demand periods or driver absence.
- Participating in projects or business initiatives that align with Mawdsleys’ strategic goals.
What We’re Looking For From You
We are seeking professional and proactive drivers who take pride in their work and understand the importance of regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical logistics.
Essential:
- CPC trained with a valid tachograph driver card.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to work flexibly across shifts and extended hours.
- A focus on safety, quality, and legal compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative effectively.
Desirable:
- Experience using PDAs or handheld delivery devices.
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering service excellence.
- Confident and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to handle challenging situations professionally.
