Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, materials handling, and efficient packing processes. Ideal candidates will have experience in warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and label products for shipment according to company standards.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and ensure proper storage within the warehouse.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock efficiently.
- Conduct quality control checks on products to ensure they meet specifications before dispatch.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Operate forklifts safely when required, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet production targets.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of packing processes.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial for efficient stock management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as part of daily responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills to ensure accuracy in packing and inventory management.
