About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Fire Door Installer/Maintainer with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial works to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FD30/FD60 fire door works and a solid understanding of fire safety regulations and industry standards. You’ll be responsible for installing new fire doors and carrying out remedial works across a range of sites, ensuring all installations meet the highest quality and compliance standards.
Ongoing fire door and safety training is provided to enhance and refresh your knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain FD30/FD60 fire doors to required standards
- Carry out remedial works and inspections on existing fire doors
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work meets building regulations and fire safety requirements
- Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
- Complete professional finishes, including sealing and painting where required
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial work
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification (advantageous)
- Proven background within the construction or fire safety sector
- Strong understanding of fire door regulations and best practices
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel up to 1.5 hours from home address (fuel covered, company van potential)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
