We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunities to join an award winning team.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation by following recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Support the kitchen team in cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes efficiently during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
- Contribute to food production processes, including prepping ingredients, portioning, and assembling menu items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and supervisors to learn new techniques and improve skills.
- Support supervising staff in managing kitchen tasks, ensuring a cohesive team environment focused on excellence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Basic culinary skills including food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to support a collaborative kitchen atmosphere.
- Leadership qualities or supervising experience are advantageous for future growth opportunities.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, food production, and delivering exceptional guest service.
