Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate counterbalance forklifts to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within our facility. Your knowledge, safety awareness, and ability to handle heavy lifting will ensure smooth operations and contribute to our ongoing success.
Duties
- Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load and unload trucks and transfer materials within the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure forklift safety and functionality
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areas
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments for dispatch or receipt
- Support warehouse operations through heavy lifting tasks and materials handling as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Experience of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes is preferred

Pay: £12.75-£13.75 per hour
