Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Works Manager to oversee and coordinate construction and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, resources, and teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects in accordance with client specifications and safety standards. Duties
- Lead and supervise project teams, including subcontractors and site personnel, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality standards.
- Develop basic project schedules ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Monitor project progress regularly, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all sites.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, maintaining effective communication with suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections to oversee work quality and resolve any issues promptly.
- Prepare basic reports on project status, risks, and resource utilisation for senior management.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to facilitate smooth project execution.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or repairs project management.
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Previous experience managing multidisciplinary teams on small scale fast projects is preferred.
- This position requires a motivated professional capable of leading complex projects while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, technical expertise in relevant software tools, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a dynamic environment.
