CG Electrical South Ltd are an electrical contractor based just outside Burgess Hill in East Sussex. We carry out work throughout the UK in a mix of commercial and domestic sites but are looking for candidates local to us who are prepared to travel country wide.
We are looking for second year and above electrical apprentices who are currently in college (or due to start) on a Monday or a Friday, or who has completed their level 2. Please make your college status clear when applying.
Practical site experience is preferred in either a domestic or commercial setting.
You will begin on a trial/probation period with the aim to have you join us permanently. Working alongside another member of the team or as part of a small team, you will gain experience in predominantly commercial and retail site work with some domestic jobs where required.
We accept jobs throughout the UK on a regular basis so a willingness to travel and work away from home is important. For this reason if you are in college, we can only accept candidates in college one day a week on a Monday or Friday. Day and night shift work is included in this role therefore on this occasion we can only accept candidates aged 18 or over.
You are not expected to be driving a company van at this point, however as we are just outside of Burgess Hill in Mid Sussex Business Park, driving is advantageous for you to be able to reach our office and stores if required.
Pay is to be discussed at the interview stage based on your practical experience and/or certificates/qualifications to date. You should expect this to be inline with age-appropriate/apprenticeship pay as outlined by the government.
Please be prepared to bring proof of your right to work in the UK to the interview along with any college certificates you may already have.
An ECS or CSCS card is required for you to access site work as you cannot gain access to site without this.
Own tools are required.
Potential start date of end of August.
