About the Role
Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf & Spa is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Trainee Assistant Manager to join our management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about hospitality and looking to develop a long-term career within the hotel industry.
Working closely alongside our Heads of Departments, you will receive hands-on training across all areas of the hotel operation, gaining valuable experience in Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Leisure & Spa, Events, Guest Services, and Hotel Operations. The role is designed to develop future hospitality leaders and provide a strong foundation for progression within hotel management.
Key Responsibilities
- Train in all key operational departments across the hotel.
- Support Heads of Departments in the day-to-day running of their areas.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
- Assist with team supervision, training, and motivation.
- Help maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support the management team in achieving departmental targets and objectives.
- Assist with complaint resolution and guest feedback management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
- Act as a flexible member of the management team, supporting the hotel where required.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, leisure, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills.
- Ambition to progress into a management role within the hospitality industry.
