Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support with medication administration as per care plans and under supervision
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care
- Support clients with light domestic tasks to promote independence
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required (driving experience is advantageous)
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all
- PMVA is an advantage
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when needed
- Strong organisational skills to manage care plans and daily routines
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Driving licence preferred but not essential; willingness to learn driving if necessary
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not mandatory

Pay: £24,420.00-£34,786.99 per year
