Job Overview
We are looking for some lovely people to join our team at Latitude Festival (23-26th July). We have roles on our coffee unit (ideally barista trained) and also our pizza unit. Must have own camping gear and be familiar with festival trading - the shifts are long and can be very busy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality catering services at Latitude festival on either our coffee or pizza unit, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, combining culinary skills with excellent customer service.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of meals and beverages in accordance with company standards and customer preferences
- Set up catering stations at different locations, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are ready for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the mobile catering unit, adhering to food safety regulations
- Long shifts 10 - 12hrs
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent customer service
- Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed during service
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed throughout the operation
- Pack up the mobile unit at the end of each shift, ensuring it is clean and secure for transportation
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of meal preparation, food safety standards, and kitchen procedures
- Experience in food preparation and serving in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and food presentation skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a mobile or outdoor setting
- Level 2 in food hygiene
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout service
- Barista experience for our coffee unit is a must
This role is for Latitude Festival, with other possible festivals throughout the summer for the right candidate. The dates for Latitude festival are: 23-26th July. Please mention previous festival experience.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
