Conveyancer
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing exceptional service to clients. As part of this role, you will supervise a Junior Paralegal, providing guidance, delegating appropriate tasks, and overseeing their work to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties
- Manage the end-to-end conveyancing process for residential and commercial property transactions.
- Supervise and support a Junior Paralegal, reviewing their work and assisting with their day-to-day development.
- Prepare and review legal documentation, including contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documentation.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Conduct property searches, enquiries, and due diligence to identify potential issues or risks.
- Ensure all transactions comply with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of correspondence and transaction progress using case management systems.
- Manage multiple files and deadlines effectively to ensure timely completion of transactions.
- Provide clear, professional updates and advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
- Assist with improving internal processes and supporting the wider conveyancing team where required.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Confident in supervising and supporting a Junior Paralegal, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
- Proficient IT skills, including experience with case management software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documentation and compliance.
- Knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
