A multi-skilled, detail orientated Cabin Fitter, responsible for service, maintenance, repair and preparation of a wide range of our hire fleet of site accommodation cabins, stores, toilet blocks, welfare units, generators and other related equipment. An individual capable of producing quality work to ensure the Kensite high standards are reached, and our customer expectations are exceeded, avoiding unnecessary call outs to site by our ‘get it right 1st time’ approach to work. A good understanding of health and safety requirements ensuring compliance to company policies at all times. An enthusiastic, positive team player, who works collaboratively with colleagues, taking pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
Joinery Works: Fitting and removal of partitions, floors, ceilings & other fittings. Installing kitchens & worktops. Laying and repairing flooring. Fitting windows and doors.
Plumbing: Completing basic plumbing, installing, maintaining and repairing toilet facilities, sinks, taps.
Electrical Works: Completing basic electrical works and PAT testing, installing water heaters, hand dryers, heaters, fans, plugs and sockets and various others.
Welding: Fitting door locks, cutting keys, performing basic welding.
Cleaning: Cleaning units, and preparing ancillaries such as furniture & white goods according to customer orders. Ensuring the yard and workshop is kept clean and tidy.
General Maintenance: General maintenance skills, troubleshooting, use of power tools and continuously checking. Perform regular inspections and tests on the welfare units and generators to ensure they are in good working condition. Ensuring Generators are maintained and repaired where necessary.
Health & Safety: Ensuring all work is completed to quality standards, ISO requirements and H&S regulations.
Call Outs: Attending breakdowns where necessary and performing on site repairs and work on customer sites, being well presented, friendly & professional, going above and beyond where appropriate to ensure all external parties are impressed by our customer service, building Kensite’s reputation in the industry.
