Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our Client's supply chain team based in Dalton, near Thirsk.
In this role, you will oversee the coordination and management of transportation, warehousing, and materials handling activities to ensure seamless operations across their logistics network. Your expertise will help optimise processes, improve efficiency, and support the overall supply chain strategy. Responsibilities
- Manage transportation schedules and liaise with Operations Managers to coordinate shipments efficiently.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to streamline freight movement and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Conduct data analysis to identify process improvements in inventory management, order fulfillment, and materials handling.
- Support category management initiatives by monitoring stock levels, order accuracy, and supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist with process improvement projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and reducing costs.
Skills
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, including shipping & receiving, warehouse processes, and materials handling.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) a bonus.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding and supply chain best practices.
- Hands-on warehouse experience with picking & packing procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
