Dance Instructor
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dance lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach ballet, tap, contemporary and jazz
- Create choreography and routines for performances and competitions
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to organize recitals, showcases, and other dance events
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the dance industry
Skills:
- Proficient in multiple dance styles and techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach and explain dance moves and concepts
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Patience and empathy to work with students of all ages and abilities
- Creativity to develop engaging choreography and routines
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage schedules, and coordinate events
