Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate Chef who has 2 rosette level experience, either as a head chef or sous chef ready to make the next step. Within this role you will working alongside Matthew Mason in the View Restaurant to lead the culinary team at our premier dining establishment.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of culinary expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in fine dining environments. As Head Chef, you will be the driving force behind our kitchen’s success, inspiring your team to deliver memorable dining experiences every day.
This role is based on a 40-hour week, but extra hours are sometimes needed based on the needs of the business
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards for fine dining service
- Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to foster a motivated and efficient team
- Oversee inventory control and food safety compliance, ensuring proper handling, storage, and waste reduction
- Coordinate with the catering and banquet departments to deliver exceptional event experiences
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in accordance with health regulations
- Manage food production processes to optimize efficiency without compromising quality or presentation
Requirements
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining establishments at least 2 rossettes
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
- Knowledge of banquet operations, catering services, and dietary requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Expertise in menu planning, food management, inventory control, and kitchen management systems
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling and hygiene
- Experience with food service management including shift management and restaurant operations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary certifications or relevant hospitality qualifications are preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £42,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
