Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and professional HGV Driver Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for training new and existing drivers in the safe and efficient operation of heavy goods vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety standards. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive training for new drivers.
- Conduct practical driving assessments and provide constructive feedback to optimise trainee performance
- Ensure all trainee's are familiar with vehicle-specific features.
- Maintain accurate training records.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in road safety legislation and incorporate these into training sessions
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Strong knowledge of HGV operations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate trainees
- Ability to assess driver competencies accurately and provide clear guidance for improvement
- Organisational skills to manage training schedules.
- Friendly and outgoing manner.
Pay: £12.65-£15.50 per hour
