Supervisor – The Optimist, Northallerton
The Optimist is looking for an experienced, ambitious and creative Supervisor to join our team.
This isn't just a role for someone who wants to run a shift. We're looking for somebody who wants to get involved in the venue, bring ideas to the table and work closely with management to help develop and grow The Optimist.
You'll be working across both our bar and restaurant operation, so we're looking for someone confident in a busy hospitality environment who can adapt quickly and lead from the front.
What we're looking for:
- Previous bar and hospitality experience is essential
- Strong cocktail knowledge and bartending skills
- Comfortable working with and serving food
- Confident supervising a team and taking responsibility during shifts
- A quick learner who can adapt to new situations
- Reliable with weekend availability
- Organised and able to help plan and manage events and special nights
- Comfortable with social media and creating content
- Someone who can work closely alongside the Manager
- An interest in helping us grow, improve and expand the business
- Great customer service and communication skills
- A positive attitude and the confidence to bring your own ideas forward
More than just supervising
We're particularly interested in finding someone creative and commercially minded.
You'll be encouraged to get involved with new events, promotions, cocktails, social media, customer experience and ideas for growing the venue. You'll have creative freedom to bring ideas to the table and the opportunity to see those ideas become part of The Optimist.
We're looking for someone who can spot opportunities, solve problems and isn't afraid to take initiative.
