Join our friendly Paediatric Services team and play an important role in supporting the smooth delivery of patient care.
This position provides comprehensive administrative support to Consultants, Pathway Navigators and Medical Secretaries, helping to ensure an efficient and responsive service for children and their families.
We are looking for a proactive, organised individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and communicating with a wide range of people.
This is a full-time role working across Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital, Monday to Friday.
Interviews will be held on 10 August at Hemel Hempstead Hospital.
You will provide day-to-day administrative support, acting as a key point of contact for patients, colleagues and external organisations.
Duties include managing telephone and email enquiries, maintaining the shared paediatric inbox, distributing post, scanning and uploading documents to Cerner, preparing patient correspondence, and supporting reception when required.
You will also work closely with Outpatient Departments and Waiting List Coordinators to support appointment bookings, ensuring records and correspondence are accurate, up to date and processed promptly.
With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.

The role involves building positive working relationships with patients, GPs, nursing teams, Service Managers, Outpatients, the Validation Team and colleagues across the Trust.
Core working hours are between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday, with your agreed hours discussed at interview.
This role requires cross-site working between Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital.
