Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify any suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Enforce safety policies and procedures consistently across all areas of the facility
- Conduct inspections of equipment, entrances, exits, and perimeter fences to uphold security standards
- Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods to ensure a safe environment for all attendees
Skills
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of security equipment such as CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access control devices
- Prior experience in security or law enforcement is advantageous but not required
- Certifications such as Security Guard License or First Aid/CPR are a plus
