Are you a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our busy Engineering & Maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of automated and bespoke machinery, keeping production running at peak performance while also contributing to equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:
- Morning Shift: 6:00am–2:00pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm–10:00pm
- Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
- Supporting machinery installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects
- Working on presses, conveyors, robots and bespoke manufacturing equipment
- Using CMMS systems to manage and record maintenance activities
- Minimising equipment downtime and maximising production efficiency
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
- Working closely with production and engineering colleagues to resolve breakdowns efficiently
- Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- City & Guilds qualification or equivalent
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Good problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics and manuals
- Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work the rotating 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm shift pattern
Desirable Skills
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Knowledge of power presses and forming processes
- Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment and robotics
