Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of carpentry and related trades, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication, assembly, and the use of hand and power tools. Duties
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as frameworks, flooring, roofing, and fixtures using carpentry skills.
- Fabricate custom components and joinery elements according to specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with roofing tasks, including sheathing and waterproofing..
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Ability to carry out first and second fix carpentry to an excellent standard.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in fabrication, assembly, joinery, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or related trades are preferred but not essential for experienced candidates.
