Diverse Trainers is one of the UK's leading providers of health and fitness qualifications, delivering high-quality online and face-to-face training nationwide. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced Self-Employed Fitness Tutor & Assessor to join our team in the office in Preston on a part-time/full-time basis, supporting our Tutor Team during busy periods.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fitness professional who is passionate about education and helping learners achieve their qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Mark learner coursework and written assessments.
- Assess formative and summative practical video submissions.
- Provide learner support via telephone, email and our online learning platform.
- Deliver constructive feedback to help learners progress successfully.
- Ensure assessments meet awarding body standards and internal quality requirements.
- Work closely with the Tutor Team to maintain high levels of learner support and customer service.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (or equivalent).
- A recognised teaching qualification (Award in Education and Training, PTLLS or equivalent).
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent assessing qualification).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Previous tutoring and/or assessing experience.
- The ability to manage workloads effectively and work independently.
Desirable Qualifications
Qualifications in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Level 2 Gym or equivilent
- Level 3 Personal Training
- Level 3 Mat Pilates
- Reformer Pilates
- Level 4 Strength & Conditioning
- Level 3 Sports Massage
- Level 3 Pre & Postnatal Exercise
- Level 3 Exercise Referral
