About the Role
Dishion Oxford is the UK branch of an established Hangzhou fine-dining restaurant. We looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations. You will lead the front-of-house team, uphold fine-dining service standards, and work closely with the head chef and ownership to run a commercially healthy, guest-obsessed restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily restaurant operations end to end — opening/closing, floor service, reservations, and guest experience
- Lead, roster, train and develop the FOH team; manage recruitment, appraisals and performance
- Uphold and continuously raise fine-dining service and hospitality standards
- Drive commercial performance: monitor covers, average spend, labour cost % and GP; deliver against budget and KPIs
- Manage stock, supplier relationships and cost control alongside the kitchen and finance
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, allergen, licensing and employment regulations
- Handle guest feedback, membership/VIP relationships and support marketing initiatives
- Report directly to restaurant owner
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience in restaurants or hotels
- Minimum 3 years in a manager-level (or above) role with direct team leadership responsibility
- Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) and confident professional English (spoken and written). This role requires liaising with both Chinese and UK staff/guests, suppliers and authorities
- Strong commercial acumen (P&L, labour and GP control) and hands-on floor leadership
- Comfortable with the demands of a high-tempo fine-dining operation, including evening and weekend shifts
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience in high-end restaurants or hotels is strongly preferred
