Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facilities. This vital role ensures that our environment remains welcoming, hygienic, and well-maintained for staff, visitors, and clients alike. The Caretaker will be responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, managing caretaker duties, and ensuring that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Duties
- Perform a high standard of cleaning across various areas throughout the Town Hall, the public toilets and the Football Club and any other area as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning as needed.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times.
- Conduct routine caretaking tasks including waste disposal, window cleaning, dusting, and surface sanitisation.
- Monitor the condition of facilities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all occupants.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively to achieve optimal results.
Requirements
- Experience in cleaning or caretaking work preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, buffers, or floor scrubbers.
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
- Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours and to fit in around other team members.
Pay: £13.05 per hour
