Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dumper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating dumpers and other heavy machinery to facilitate the efficient movement of materials around construction sites or industrial locations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and commercial driving regulations, ensuring safe and smooth operations throughout the workday.
Responsibilities
- Operate dumpers and associated machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper distribution within designated areas
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or potential faults
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including materials moved and equipment usage
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate tasks effectively
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to site-specific procedures
Experience
- Proven experience operating dumpers or similar heavy machinery in a construction or industrial environment
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment
- Valid commercial driving licence suitable for operating heavy vehicles such as a lorry or dumper truck
- Prior experience with excavators is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to construction sites or industrial settings
